There are many places in the Poconos that exude nature and peace; however, Bushkill, PA has all of that with a twist of adventure!

Today's blog is going to talk about this small town in the Poconos, Pennsylvania called "Bushkill." This town is very much like your Hallmark Christmas movie, you know? Small town, mom-and-pop shops everywhere, nature, and charm all around. Although Bushkill, PA is a rural area in the Poconos, it is, however, very close and accessible through major highways like I-80, and it also borders New Jersey. Even though many of those that move here to this rural town are to live in nature, they are only a short drive from any major city whenever they would like a change for a day. About one hour and a half from New York City and two hours from Philadelphia. Unlike other rural towns around the United States, Bushkill, PA is close to major hospitals like St. Luke's and Lehigh Valley Health Network. Bushkill, PA takes all the pros of living in nature and has found a solution for all the cons of rural living.

Where to Go In Bushkill, PA

The Bushkill Falls

The Bushkill Falls is one of my favorite nature experiences in the Poconos. It is often called the "Niagara Falls of Pennsylvania." The picture that I have here does not do it justice as it is a total of eight waterfalls which look fantastic no matter what time of the year!

The Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area

This is forty miles of the longest free-flowing river east of the Mississippi River. It is one of the most gorgeous views! Many of the people who commute to Bushkill, PA get to see this beautiful scenery year-round, as the Gap separates New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Outside of these two major nature spots, there are other waterfalls you might want to visit: Bridesmaid Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Pennell Falls.

What to Do in Bushkill, PA

Year-round kayaking in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area is one of the activities that should be on your bucket list!
